Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information FocusTraining collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep the collection deliberately minimal — we ask for what we need to answer your question and provide the service, and nothing more.

Who we are

FocusTraining is operated by Trans Factor Inc., located in California, USA. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that entity. You can reach us at [email protected] or by mail at Irvine, California, USA.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the consultation form on this site, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
  • Who the training is for (for example: a child, yourself, a family member, or an organization)
  • Anything you write in the message field

If you go on to become a customer, we will collect additional information necessary to provide the service and to enter into a rental agreement — for example a billing address, shipping address, payment details processed by our payment provider, and the information you share with us during consultation and assessment.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security provider records basic technical information when you visit, including your IP address, approximate country, browser type and the pages you request. This is used for security, abuse prevention and to keep the site running. We attach your IP address and country to consultation form submissions so we can identify and stop automated spam.

Sensitive information

If you describe attention difficulties, a diagnosis, or a health condition — yours or a family member's — that information is sensitive personal information under California law. We treat it accordingly: we use it only to respond to you and to design a training plan, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you for any other purpose.

Please do not send medical records, insurance information, or detailed clinical history through the website form. If we need that information, we will tell you how to send it securely.

Children

This website is directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. Parents and guardians frequently give us information about a child — a first name and a description of the difficulties they're having — and we keep that to the minimum needed to help. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

How we use information

  • To respond to your consultation request and answer your questions
  • To assess whether the program is a suitable fit, and to design a training plan
  • To arrange equipment rental, shipping, return and support
  • To process payments and maintain business records
  • To keep the website secure and prevent fraud and spam
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Marketing

We will reply to whatever you asked us about. We will not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and any marketing email we do send will include an unsubscribe link that works.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract, only for the purposes we specify:

ProviderWhat they handle
CloudflareWebsite hosting, DNS and security; technical request logs
ResendDelivery of the email generated by the consultation form
ZohoOur business email; stores the messages we send and receive
Payment processorPayment details for rental transactions (we do not store full card numbers)
Shipping carrierName and address, to deliver and recover equipment

We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, court order or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

Consultation enquiries that do not become customers are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Customer records, rental agreements and transaction records are kept for as long as the rental is active and afterwards for the period required by tax, accounting and statute-of-limitations rules — generally seven years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to the exceptions described below.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to our email and business records is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party advertising trackers. Our security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site against abuse. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to
  • Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we already limit it to providing the service you asked for
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you made a request.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will verify your identity by confirming details we already hold — usually the email address you contacted us from — and respond within 45 days, extending once by a further 45 days if the request is complex. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission that we can verify.

If you are outside the United States

We operate from and store information in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. By contacting us, you understand that this transfer takes place. Where local law gives you additional rights over your information, contact us and we will honor them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. For significant changes affecting how we use information you already gave us, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
